Player Rating - Arsenal 3 Celtic 1 And MOTM
Eduardo Is No Diver.......Match Thoughts
Talking about banning Eduardo, UEFA can never do that, simply because they are shit and corrupt, there is no two way about it, what happened with Dogbark last season in the CL semifinal against Barca, he abused in front of millions watching on television, what UEFA does ban him and then later lift the ban on him, but no one is complaining.WHY?
One suggestion to all Celtic players and fans, go home prepare for Europa league because you are not good enough to beat Arsenal (even without the penalty Dudu won ) and stop calling him a cheat because he has no record of diving in his career. So I give him a benefit of doubt and one more thing learn to play football, kicking opposition player is no way of playing football. You all make me laugh when you say that this penalty won Arsenal the CL berth, because Arsenal would have thrashed you even without that penalty. So stop moaning about it
Now about the match, two players where a stand out performer last night
1. Denilson
2. Eboue
these two player where every where on the pitch, Denilson was harrassing the Celtic midfield and his tackling has improved, though his positional sense was always good that too has improved too. Eboue well he is some character, his first touch was good he was creating havoc with his trickery, forcing Celtic players to commit fouls and took his goal very well. If we can recall he was in a similar position in CL quater final against Roma and he made a mess of it, this time he made no mistake, this proves how strong mentally he has become.
But my man of the match is Denilson for his tireless work throughout the 90 min.

Why Arsenal Will Beat Celtic At Parkhead?
Celtic Beware ! (The Men Are Coming To The Town)
The boys have finally matured and now they are men. I am surprised by many pundits speaking about lack of experience in the team but I find it hard it hard to figure out how do you gain experience, according to anti-Arsenal pundits the squad is too young to compete at the top level.

Everton v Arsenal - Match Report
Arsenal produced a stunning opening-day performance to underline boss Arsene Wenger's belief his young stars can win the title.
The Gunners exposed Everton's frailties in defence and the hosts' lack of depth.
The last time Everton lost 6-1 at home was back in 1958, and Arsenal did the damage that time as well.
Their passing, movement and finishing left Everton in shreds, and the north Londoners were three up at the break through Denilson, debut defender Thomas Vermaelen and his centre-back colleague William Gallas.
Everton boss David Moyes had suggested beforehand the Joleon Lescott saga had destabilised his team, but few would have predicted to this extent.
After the interval Cesc Fabregas struck with two fine goals, the result maybe suggesting Moyes should sell Lescott with Manchester City still interested, and spend the money on re-vamping his squad.
Everton included Lescott despite the ongoing saga of Manchester City's attempts to sign him, which prompted Moyes' angry outburst yesterday at the Eastlands club's tactics.
Brazilian striker Jo had recovered from an ankle problem, while Steven Pienaar was passed fit after knee trouble.
Arsenal gave their new Belgian defender Vermaelen his league debut, but were without Theo Walcott (back), Abou Diaby (groin), Tomas Rosicky (hamstring) and Johan Djourou (knee).
But their absences did not seem to matter as they systematically took Everton apart at the back.
Moyes got a heroes' reception from the Goodison Park faithful, and Lescott's name was greeted with far more cheers than jeers from a sell-out crowd.
But Moyes then had to sit and watch as his usually reliable rearguard, admittedly missing the excellent Phil Jagielka, fell apart before his eyes.
Arsenal were sharp from the start and their passing game was quickly on song. And when Phil Neville misplaced a ball in midfield, the Gunners flowed forward before Nicklas Bendtner drove a shot over the bar.
Then Bendtner headed down for Robin van Persie to see his shot on the turn deflected wide by Lescott.
Everton were having to work tremendously hard in midfield to contain the tempo of Arsenal's game and the Toffees barely created a chance in the opening half.
The goal Arsenal had been threatening arrived after 26 minutes. Bendtner surged in from the left before flicking a pass to Cesc Fabregas, who instantly turned the ball into Denilson's path.
The pace of the move left Everton floundering, and the fine strike from the Brazilian from just outside the area dipped and curled into the top corner.
Everton's response was predictably furious and they had Arsenal hemmed into their box for a spell.
Only a goal-line clearance from Denilson following Marouane Fellaini's header from a Leighton Baines corner stopped an equaliser.
Arsenal, though, were cutting through Everton with movement and accurate passing, and after 37 minutes they were two ahead.
Van Persie's free-kick from the right found Vermaelen beyond the far post, and the defender headed back into the bottom corner for a fine debut goal.
Everton's marking for that was dreadful, with Fellaini and Joseph Yobo seemingly at fault. But four minutes later when Gallas headed home another free-kick, this time from Fabregas, the defending was even worse.
The Frenchman had a free run into the six-yard box to guide his header home completely unmarked. Goalkeeper Tim Howard appealed for cover as colleagues stood motionless.
Everton were shell-shocked, and it got worse three minutes after the interval.
Everton were caught by a pitch-length move from Arsenal that ended with Fabregas cruising into the box to send his shot past Howard.
Denilson had started the surge deep on the left and found Van Persie before a neat pass left the Arsenal skipper to do the rest.
Moyes then made a triple substitution. Saha replaced Leon Osman, Dan Gosling came on for Tony Hibbert while Jack Rodwell took over from Jo.
The reshuffle included Neville reverting to full-back from midfield, where he had struggled. Rodwell, Fellaini and Pienaar both had chances as Everton struggled to get some pride back.
Arsenal sent on Emmanuel Eboue for Bendtner after 63 minutes, the game long won.
But Fabregas was not finished. After 69 minutes he collected a throw from Manuel Almunia and ran from inside his own half without facing a tackle to drive home the fifth.
Their jobs done, Arsenal took off Fabregas and Van Persie, sending on Aaron Ramsey and Eduardo.
With the ground emptying fast, and the Gunners' fans in full song, Everton just wanted this embarrassment to end as quickly as possible.
But Eduardo still had time to score the sixth, netting from close in after Andrey Arshavin's shot had come back off a post with two minutes to go.
Everton finally got onto the score-sheet in injury time when Saha netted after Pienaar's shot had been blocked.
Teams:
Everton Howard, Hibbert (Gosling 58), Yobo, Lescott, Baines,Osman (Saha 58), Neville, Cahill, Pienaar, Fellaini,Jo (Rodwell 58).
Subs Not Used: Nash, Vaughan, Duffy, Baxter.
Goals: Saha 90.

Eduardo On Target For Croatia
A brace from Ivica Olic helped Croatia to a comfortable victory over Belarus in Minsk, keeping their chances of reaching the World Cup finals very much alive.
Olic headed Croatia into the lead in the 22nd minute and Eduardo doubled their advantage in the second half.
Dimitry Verkhovtsov pulled one back for Belarus nine minutes from time but Olic ended any home hopes of snatching an equaliser with his second of the night just two minutes later.
Croatia remain second in Group Six, seven points adrift of leaders England, with the runners-up spot now their principle aim.
Belarus are three points further back but with a game in hand.
The visitors started brightly and could have taken the lead in the 10th minute but when Luka Modric was presented with a decent opportunity the Tottenham midfielder opted to pass instead of shoot and his ball to Olic was woeful.
Belarus almost took the lead against the run of play in the 18th minute as a mistake by Josip Simunic let in Vitaly Kutuzov but Croatia escaped unscathed.
That seemed to give them the boost they needed and Olic headed Niko Kranjcar's corner home four minutes later.
The Bayern Munich new boy could have doubled their lead five minutes later but smashed his effort off the crossbar.
Croatia came out of the blocks quickly after the break but could not find the back of the net.
They eventually doubled their tally in the 69th minute when Darijo Srna crossed from the right and Eduardo coolly slotted the ball home.
Belarus looked to have set up a nervy finale when Verkhovtsov latched onto Srna's mistake and pulled one back for the hosts.
However, two minutes later Eduardo picked out Ivan Rakitic on the right flank who crossed in for Olic to seal the three points

So Celtic It is !
Arsenal have been drawn to face Celtic in an all-British tie later this month to reach the Champions League group stage.
Celtic, following their victory over Dinamo Moscow earlier this week, face the daunting task of Arsene Wenger's men.
The first leg will take place on August 18 or 19, days after both sides begin their league campaigns.
It is the first time the two clubs will meet in European competition and the prize will be a path to the lucrative stage of the competition.
The play-offs were divided into two groups, with Lyon's clash against Anderlecht among the "non-champions'' ties. Romanian side Timisoara face Stuttgart, Sporting Lisbon and Fiorentina will play each other, while Panathinaikos or Atletico Madrid will make up the other teams that go through.
From the "champions'' route, FC Sheriff play Olympiacos, Salzburg are up against Maccabi Haifa, FK Ventspils face FC Zurich, FC Copenhagen and APOEL of Nicosia face each other, with Levski Sofia and Debrecen the final two teams.
Now this tie can be tricky, luckily the first leg is at celtic park, if our boys can handle the crowd and score atleast a goal, then we can be confident of a great show from Arsenal at the Emirates. Hoping for a good first leg match and all the best lads
What do you guys think ? let me know
Get well soon Tomas and Nasri.

Who could Arsenal Play In CL Play-Off ?
I was too busy with my studies so I did not get time to post any blog. Since tomorrow morning we will find out which team we will be playing against in the play-off round to qualify for the champions league group stage.
The draw will consist of two parts as 20 teams compete for 10 places.
The 10 remaining clubs who did not win their domestic competition - such as Arsenal and Celtic - will compete for five places in the group stage. This is known as the 'non-champions path'.
In this 'path', Arsenal are one of five seeded teams - along with Lyon, Sporting Lisbon, Panathinaikos and Stuttgart - and they will be drawn against the non-seeded teams - Celtic, Ateltico Madrid, Anderlecht, Fiorentina and Timisoara.
The 10 other clubs who did finish champions are allocated to the 'champions path' and follow the same format.
The five winners from each section join the 22 automatic entrants in the group stage.
The play-offs will be played over two legs on Aug 18/19 and 25/26
Uefa Champions League play-offs
Non-champions pathSeeded Unseeded Arsenal Fiorentina Lyon Atletico Madrid Sporting Lisbon Celtic Panathinaikos Anderlecht Stuttgart FC Timisoara
As you can see Arsenal can face any of the five unseeded team, If we can avoid Fiorentina and Athletico Madrid, then I we should not have much problemo qualifying for the group stage but even if we draw against these two teams it will surely be difficult but I am sure we will make it.
And you don't have to guess that these teams will also want to avoid Arsenal.
more news on Tomas Rosicky Injury soon.....

Chamakh for £15.3m?Man City Might Be Interested Then!
Arsene Wenger has revealed he will not be upping his efforts to take Marouane Chamakh to Arsenal.
The Gunners boss had enquired as to the Bordeaux striker's availability, and has lodged an offer he deems to be acceptable.
However, the French champions are stalling on any possible deal as they hold out for more money from a player Sunderland are also interested in.
Wenger is reluctant to improve his bid and has admitted that, in his eyes, the agreement is dead unless Bordeaux change their stance.
"In five months, if he doesn't prolong his contract, Chamakh will be free to talk to any club and Bordeaux won't get anything," the Frenchman told L'Equipe.
"In the current context, to me, it is over. Let's say that at the moment it is terminated.
"I like Chamakh, he is a forward that attracts me, but I already have (Theo) Walcott, (Nicklas) Bendtner, (Robin) Van Persie, (Andriy) Arshavin and Eduardo. I am in no rush.
"My offer seems fair to me, taking the market into account. Chamakh would be good, but there are other options should we wish to pursue them."
With his patience pushed to breaking point, Wenger will be pleased to here that Bordeaux could be about to lower their demands.
Club chairman Jean-Louis Triaud has revealed that he may be prepared to slash the 18million euro (£15.3m) price tag placed on Chamakh's head.
"I am an admirer of Marouane's qualities and that is why I set the price so high," he said.
"I will admit that the fee I quoted is excessive, but Arsenal's offer is still a long way short.
"I won't say that I will hold out for 18million euros, but Bordeaux need to benefit from this deal as well.

Chamakh Jets Into London ?(Like Arshavin)
It is believed that Maraoune Chamakh is in London after refusing to play for Bordeaux as reported on thelondonpaper.com. Chamakh is not happy that his club has rejected 5 million bid by Arsenal and he has threatened to leave the club on a free transfer next season if the club do not accept Arsenal bid
Chamakh was quoted as saying: "I am angry, I am disgusted and I do not understand why they have done that [rejected Arsenal’s bid]”.
"One thing is certain, I will not be signing a new contract - if they will not let me go now, I will leave for free.
"If a solution cannot be found quickly, everyone will lose. Frankly, I really do not want to start the season with Bordeaux."
The French club also rejected an offer from Sunderland, with Blanc claiming it would be a step down for Chamakh to move to the Black Cats.
"Already I am told that Sunderland is not the club for me," the striker continued.
"But since when does a club choose the future of a player? Then my bosses tell me they will let me go to one of the 'Big Four' like Arsenal.
"And then when an offer comes in, it is refused because they want a bigger fee as I have one-year left on my contract."
Ain't this bloke doing the same thing what Arshavin did in January 2009, taking the matter in his own hands and threatning to leave the club if they dont accept Arsenal bid,
I don't know how good is this guy as striker and I don't believe in few you tube video . It is believed that Wenger has been watching this guy for sometime so I hope he is good.
Lets wait and see if joins us.
Arsenal 3 - Rangers 0 - Jack Wilshere show
Teenager Jack Wilshere struck twice as Arsenal beat Scottish champions Rangers to win the Emirates Cup.
The 17-year-old was rewarded for a man-of-the-match display when coming off the bench in Saturday's game against Atletico Madrid with a place in Arsene Wenger's starting XI.
Wilshere grabbed his latest opportunity with both hands to fire the Gunners ahead inside two minutes.
Arsenal never looked back, as fit-again Croatia hitman Eduardo soon made it 2-0 before Wilshere, once more man-of-the-match, wrapped things up with another well-taken strike in the second half.
Both teams had named stronger teams than for their opening games, when Rangers overcame Paris St Germain.
There were starts for regular Gunners goalkeeper Manuel Almunia, captain Cesc Fabregas as well as Andrey Arshavin, who netted twice when coming on as substitute against Atletico.
Rangers brought in keeper Allan McGregor, Kevin Thomson and Steven Naismith, who once had a trial at Arsenal.
It was, though, soon first blood to the English side when youngster Wilshere snatched the lead.
Fabregas' chip into the area found Arshavin, who touched the ball back and it broke for Wilshere.
The 17-year-old calmly struck the ball to the bottom corner, and although McGregor got a hand to it, could not keep the shot out.
Before Rangers could recover, Arsenal were 2-0 up in the 11th minute.
Arshavin knocked a long ball down to Fran Merida, who had far too much space to run into.
The youngster, once on the books of Barcelona, picked out Eduardo on the right side of the penalty box, and the Croatia marksman opened up his body before stroking the ball into the bottom corner.
The Glasgow side finally made some progress when Pedro Mendes got clear down the right, and his pass across goal was cut out by Mikael Silvestre.
Arsenal, though, remained dangerous and Merida was just off target when he let fly from 25 yards.
McGregor made up somewhat for his earlier handling error when he touched over a delicate chip from Wilshere.
As expected both teams made changes at the restart, Armand Traore and Denilson coming for William Gallas and Gael Clichy, while Rangers introduced Lee McCulloch, Kenny Miller and Nacho Novo.
The Scots had an early chance when Novo broke down the right, crossing towards Naismith, with Alex Song making an important block on the loose ball at the far post.
At the other end, Arshavin was just off target following good work from Fabregas.
Rangers, though, continued to look dangerous on the break.
Naismith sent Steven Davis clear down the right after a slip by Song. The midfielder raced forwards to collect the return pass, but could not beat Almunia.
After 62 minutes, Arshavin was replaced by Nicklas Bendtner, with FA Youth Cup winner Sanchez Watt coming on for Eduardo.
Merida then was substituted for Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey - another promising youngster in the Arsenal squad.
The three young Gunners combined to make it 3-0 on 71 minutes.
Watt chased down what looked a lost cause as Madjid Bougherra attempted to shield the ball out of play.
However, the forward managed to hook it back to Ramsey, who then picked out the run of Wilshere at the far post, the 17-year-old smashing in his second of the afternoon.
The match over as a contest, Arsenal made another change when Rosicky, fit again following some 18 months of injury problems, replaced Fabregas.
There was still time for Kenny Miller to drag a shot wide when put into the penalty area - which just about summed up Rangers' afternoon.

Arshavin Late Strike Secure Win Against Athletico
Russian star Andrey Arshavin emerged off the bench to score twice as Arsenal secured a late 2-1 success over Atletico Madrid in the Emirates Cup.
Arshavin looked to have won the game when he guided home with five minutes remaining, although their Spanish counterparts replied immediately though German Pacheco.
Just when it looked like being a frustrating day's work for Arsene Wenger's men at the Emirates, Arshavin squeezed the ball home from a virtually impossible angle to snatch the victory.
Well the highlight of the match was Jack Wilshere who came in as a second half substitute and lightened the Grove with his dribling ability, hope to see more of him next season.
So good to see Rosicky and Clichy back, since there were lot of rumours about there fitness. I hope there performance should prove their doubter wrong. As for Rosicky what a cool finish that was from him which was corrrectly ruled offside. He showed that class is still there with him just need to get some more games and he should be of and running just like Eduardo.
Will not be rating these matches, Rating will start from the seaon opener against the Toffees.
Hope to see more goals tomorrow against Rangers.

Senderos On His Way To Goodison ?
Manchester City are “close to completing” a £20million deal for Joleon Lescott at Everton after the Merseyside club made a swoop for Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos.
David claiming, that the sheer persistence of the Citizens in trying to lure the England International to the Eastlands Stadium is set to pay dividends, with £20million said to be enough for Lescott to leave Goodison Park.
Apparently the availability of Senderos will allow Mark Hughes to bag his man after having two offers for Lescott rejected by Everton boss David Moyes, who has always been adamant the defender will not be leaving for their League rivals.
It said the Gunners defender had a buy-out clause of £6million, while on loan at AC Milan last term, with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger willing to sell, but could hold out for more from Everton.
Well, if it true then aren't we short of defenders then, may be Arsene have someone in his minds because I seriously never take Arsene on face value, he never reveals his transfer targets and when he does reveal them, he usually buy them so I will give a benefit to Arsene, Infact we all gooners should because he knows where strengthning is needed.
