Arshavin Late Strike Secure Win Against Athletico

Russian star Andrey Arshavin emerged off the bench to score twice as Arsenal secured a late 2-1 success over Atletico Madrid in the Emirates Cup.

Arshavin looked to have won the game when he guided home with five minutes remaining, although their Spanish counterparts replied immediately though German Pacheco.

Just when it looked like being a frustrating day's work for Arsene Wenger's men at the Emirates, Arshavin squeezed the ball home from a virtually impossible angle to snatch the victory.

Well the highlight of the match was Jack Wilshere who came in as a second half substitute and lightened the Grove with his dribling ability, hope to see more of him next season.

So good to see Rosicky and Clichy back, since there were lot of rumours about there fitness. I hope there performance should prove their doubter wrong. As for Rosicky what a cool finish that was from him which was corrrectly ruled offside. He showed that class is still there with him just need to get some more games and he should be of and running just like Eduardo.

Will not be rating these matches, Rating will start from the seaon opener against the Toffees.

Hope to see more goals tomorrow against Rangers.
